近年、腎臓、脾臓、肝臓、卵巣1、2などの腹部固形内臓内に細菌の存在を証明する記事が増えている。Gellerら.膵臓腫瘍に細菌が見つかり、これらの細菌は化学療法薬2であるゲムシタビンに耐性があった。S. マンフレド・ヴィエイラら. エンテロコッカスガリナルムはリンパ節、肝臓および脾臓に移植可能であり、自己免疫を駆動することができると結論付けた。
子宮頸部は防御体としての役割を果たすため、子宮、卵管、卵巣を含む上部の女性生殖管内の細菌は最小限に研究されてきた。しかし、近年、いくつかの新しい理論が確立されています。細菌は、月経周期の間に、ムチン4,5の変化により子宮腔にアクセスできる。さらに、ツェルボマノラキスらは、子宮が卵管と共に、卵巣の内分泌系によって制御される蠕動性ポンプであることを確認し、この配置により細菌が子宮内膜、卵管、および卵巣6に入ることを可能にする。
細菌検出法の開発により、上部の生殖管はもはや謎ではありません。Verstraelenら.バーコード付き対端シーケンシング法を用いて、16S RNA遺伝子7のV1-2超可変領域を標的にして子宮細菌を発見した。Fangら.子宮内膜ポリープ患者にバーコードシーケンシングを採用し、多様な子宮内細菌8の存在を明らかにした。さらに、16S RNA遺伝子を用いることによって、Miles et al.と Chenら.それぞれ5,9 サルピンゴ卵巣摘出術と子宮摘出術を受けた女性の生殖器系に細菌が見つかった。
近年、腫瘍組織の細菌が注目を集めています。Banerjeeら.マイクロバイオームシグネチャが卵巣癌患者とコントロール10の間で異なっていることを発見した。ノキシナトロナムシビリカムは腫瘍期に関連しており、卵巣癌11の診断にはメサノサルシナ・バクオラタが用いられる。卵巣癌に加えて、胃、肺、前立腺、乳房、子宮頸部、および子宮内膜などの他の癌は、細菌12、13、14、15、16、17、18と関連することが証明されている。Pooreらは、初期段階の癌スクリーニング19を予見して、微生物に基づく腫瘍学診断の新しいクラスを提案した。本プロトコルでは、これら2つの組織における細菌の組成と機能を比較することにより、癌性と正常な卵巣組織の違いを調べた。
免疫体化学染色および16S rRNA遺伝子シーケンシングを行い、卵巣内の細菌の存在を確認した。癌性および非癌性卵巣組織における卵巣細菌の差異および予測機能を研究した。結果は、卵巣組織における細菌の存在を示した。 アノキシナトロナムシビリカム と メサノサルシナ・バクオラタ は、それぞれ卵巣癌の段階および診断に関連していた。両群に存在していた46個の有意に異なるKEGG経路を比較した。
