바이러스 성 및 비 바이러스 플랫폼은 세포에 분자 전달을 향상 시키기 위해 활용 되었습니다. 바이러스 성 전달 (트랜스듀션)은 게놈 변형을 요구하는 세포 기반 치료에 활용되는 일반적인 기술입니다. 바이러스 전달에 대한 제한은 잠재적인 삽입 돌연변이 발생, 제한된 형질 전환 능력 및 감염1,2의원치 않는 복합성을 포함한다. 따라서, 비 바이러스 성 분자 전달 기술은 광범위한 생체 의학 및 연구 응용 분야에 대한 개발 중이다. 일반적인 기술은 기계적, 전기적, 유체 역학, 또는 세포로 생체 분자의 섭취를 향상시키기 위해 레이저 기반 에너지의 사용을 포함한다 3. 전기포레이션은 일반적으로 사용되는 비바이러스 분자 전달 플랫폼으로, 분자 화합물4,5,6,7,8,9의세포내 전달을 위해 혈장 막에서 과도 천공을 유도할 수 있는 능력을 갖는다. 그러나, 플라즈마 멤브레인의 일시적인 천공은 전기포공을 통한 좌식 공정 및 분자 조리량은 일반적으로 과도 막 기공4,7,8을가로지르는 수동 확산에 의존한다.
대안적 방법은 초음파 조영제(즉, 가스가 채워진 마이크로버블)의 캐비테이션을 통한 세포내 분자 전달을 위한 초음파의 활용이다. 마이크로버블 캐비테이션은 주변 의 혈장 막("sonoporation")의 일시적인 천공을 유발할 수 있는 주변 매체에서 소류 효과를 유도하여 수동 또는 활성 운송메커니즘(10,11,12)을통해 생체 분자의 세포내 섭취를 급속히 허용한다. 초음파 증식은 세포에 대한 급속한 분자 전달을 위한 효과적인 기술이지만, 이러한 접근법은 종종 초음파 노출 조건에서 더 낮은 처리량과 높은 가변성에 의해 제한된 고가의 장비 및 대량 처리 방법이필요합니다(13) 이러한 한계를 해결하기 위해 현탁액에 있는 세포의 일관된 sonoporation를 가능하게 하는 acoustofluidic 장치는 현재 개발 중입니다.

유동유체 중재 된 소공포화를위한 하나의 중요한 응용 프로그램은 1 차인간 T 세포로 생체 분자의 수송을 포함한다. 키메라 항원 수용체 T 세포(CAR T) 요법과 같은 입양 T 세포 전달에 기초한 면역요법은 HIV20과같은 암 및 바이러스를 포함한 다양한 질병의 치료를 위해 급속히 부상하고 있다. 유동유체 매개 편광에 대한 또 다른 중요한 응용 프로그램은 동결 및 건조 시 세포를 보호하는 trehalose와 같은 방부제 화합물의 세포 내 전달을 포함합니다.
