El primate no humano (NHP) es un modelo ideal para estudiar la terapéutica celular de la retina humana debido a las similitudes anatómicas y genéticas. Este manuscrito describe un método para el trasplante submacular de células epiteliales pigmentarias de la retina en el ojo NHP y estrategias para prevenir las complicaciones intraoperatorias asociadas con la manipulación macular.
