벼 왜소 바이러스 (RDV)로 알려진 식물 바이러스는 딱정벌레 Nephotettix cincticeps (Hemiptera : Cicadellidae)에 의해 높은 효율과 지속적으로 번식하는 방식으로 전염됩니다22,23. RDV는 곤충 매개체에 의해 전염되는 것으로 처음 보고되었으며 아시아에서 벼의 심각한 질병을 유발합니다24,25. 비리 온은 icosahedral 및 이중층 구형이며, 외층은 P8 외부 캡시드 단백질22를 함유한다. N. cincticeps에서 RDV의 순환 전파 기간은 14 일 26,27,28,29,30입니다.
