何十年もの間、心臓生物学の文献に不可欠なアイデアは、分子作用機序です。信頼できる研究を発表するためには、作用機序を確立する必要があります。分子メカニズムを決定するための確立された戦略は、信頼できるデータを得るために高品質の心筋細胞を必要とする単離心筋細胞研究です。作用機序を決定するために心筋細胞に対して行われる細胞および分子実験は、収縮1、電気生理学2、カルシウム(Ca2+)サイクリング3、筋フィラメントCa2+感受性4、細胞骨格5、代謝6、ホルモンの影響7、シグナル伝達分子8、薬物研究9等。マウスは、遺伝子操作の容易さ、サイズが小さく、寿命が比較的短く、低コストなどにより、ほとんどの心臓生物学実験に最適な種になっています10。しかし、高品質のマウス心筋細胞の信頼性の高い単離は、現在の技術では自明ではありません。
