FITの適用は、例えば歯科用ユニットランプ1,2による従来の照明と比較して、コンポジットレジン材料と健全な歯状物質との区別を容易にする。蛍光は、材料が吸収されたよりも高い波長で光を放出するときに発生します。この照明の結果として、材料は歯3よりも明るく見える。コンポジットレジン材料の最大蛍光は、398 ± 5ナノメートル3の波長で照射されたときに発生します。コンポジットレジン材料における蛍光は、コンポジットレジン4,5の主成分であるガラスフィラーに希土類酸化物が添加されたために現れる。これらの蛍光物質の添加は、コンポジットレジンの光学特性を歯の構造に適合させ、コンポジットレジン4,5の審美性を改善することを意図している。FITは、これらの蛍光特性を示すため、多くの複合樹脂材料に適用できます3。しかしながら、蛍光は複合樹脂材料6、7、8、9の経年変化とともに減少する。
現代の複合樹脂材料は歯の物質の光学特性とほぼ完全に一致するため、従来の照明による歯の構造からの複合樹脂材料の区別は課題です10,11。コンポジットレジンの誤診は、不正確な歯カルテ、誤ったう蝕リスク評価、および不適切な治療計画をもたらします11。さらに、疫学データは改ざんされています12。
コンポジットレジンは、その簡単な取り扱い、審美的特性、および臨床性能により、直接修復に最適な材料です13。それにもかかわらず、多くの複合修復物は、二次的な虫歯、骨折、またはその他の理由により更新する必要があります14,15。ただし、残留コンポジットレジン材料の除去は、従来の光条件下では要求が厳しい場合があります。拡大助剤の適用、触覚プローブの使用、または歯の広範な乾燥を行っても、複合残留物は健全な歯の構造と区別するのが難しい場合があります。接着剤修復物の除去中の複合残骸の残り物は、さらなる修復物の品質を低下させ、マージン1,16,17,18,19,20,21,22の可能性のある美的障害を有する。.それどころか、コンポジットレジンと歯の構造の誤診による過剰準備は、不必要な物質損失をもたらす可能性があります1,2。
歯科外傷学では、外傷スプリントを使用した負傷した歯の固定は頻繁であり、多くの場合必須です23。外傷スプリントは通常、流動性のあるコンポジットレジン材料を使用して歯に固定されます。このシナリオでコンポジットレジン材料が不完全に除去されると、上記の障害が発生する可能性があります。歯の外傷は主に前歯に発生するため、審美性の障害とさらなる再建の十分な接着が重要です。したがって、本稿の目的は、複合樹脂材料を検出および除去するための効率的かつ簡単なアプローチとしてのFIT法の適用を実証することです。
