인간 위장관(GI)은 수 피트 길이의 장기 시스템으로, 다양한 치수와물리적 특성의 튜브로 대략 근사합니다1. 내용물이 길이를 따라 이동함에 따라 위장관의 주요 기능은 생명에 중요한 물질을 흡수하는 것입니다. 소장은 특히 영양소 흡수를 담당합니다. 소장의 통과는 소화 및 흡수 기능에 맞게 엄격하게 조절되어 다양한 운동성 패턴을 생성합니다.
