פגיעה בביזור מובילה לנגיף של הפרעות רירית הרחם כגון בתמותה, הפלה חוזרת. שיטה זו מספקת מודל טוב ואמין של בעלי חיים לחקר ביזור רירית הרחם. מודל ביזור מלאכותי זה עם כריתת שחלות יכול למנוע את ההשפעה של אנג'לינה על הורמונים אשר לעתים קרובות יכולים לשחזר תוצאות מאוד עם הבדלים קלים בתוך הקבוצה.להתחיל לעקר את כלי הניתוח עם מעקר בטמפרטורה גבוהה ובלחץ גבוה יום לפני הניתוח. יש למרוח את משחת המגן על גלגלי העיניים כדי למנוע יובש במהלך ההרדמה. התחל את הפעולה כאשר עכברים מורדמים לחלוטין.הניחו את העכברים במצב נוטה על משטח הניתוח וגלחו את השיער על הגב לאחר שהרטיבו אותם במי סבון. לחטא את העור עם 70% אתנול. מצא את אתר החתך הניתוחי בגובה 0.5 ס"מ בקצה העליון של שורש הירך של שתי הגפיים האחוריות במקביל לעמוד השדרה.קח את אתר החתך כמרכז וחטא את אזור החתך עם יודופור, שלוש פעמים. בצע חתך אורכי של כ 0.5 עד סנטימטר אחד באמצעות מספריים. חותכים את הפאשיה ומפרידים באופן פסיבי את השרירים עם פינצטה.מצאו חתיכה מכרית השומן הלבן בשדה החתך קרוב לקוטב התחתון של הכליה דרך שכבת השריר הדקה. הדקו את מסת השומן בעזרת קליפסים המוסטטיים ומשכו את השחלה העטופה בכרית השומן אל מחוץ לחתך. מהדקים את צומת השחלה והחצוצרות בפינצטה מעוקלת ומסירים את השחלה לאורך הפדיקור השחלתי בעזרת מספריים.יש להפסיק את הדימום באמצעות עט אלקטרוקואגולציה או מחט של מזרק מיליליטר המחומם על מנורת האלכוהול. יש לשטוף את החתך הניתוחי במי מלח רגילים כדי למנוע הידבקות רקמות. השתמש בתפר 4-0 כדי לזרוע את השריר והעור בהתאמה ולחטא שוב את החתך הניתוחי עם יודופור.הניחו את העכברים במצב נוטה בכלוב ובצעו בהם החייאה באינקובטור של 25 מעלות צלזיוס. מצויד במקור אור ומערכת אוורור למשך כשעתיים. שימו לב לעכברים לאחר הניתוח.החזירו אותם למקום ההאכלה המקורי לבדם עד שיתאוששו לחלוטין ותנו להם מספיק מים ומזון. הזריקו תת עורית 100 ננוגרם אסטרוגן ב-50 מיקרוליטר שמן שומשום לכל עכבר למשך שלושה ימים ולאחר מכן יומיים של מנוחה. הזריקו מיליגרם אחד של פרוגסטרון ו-10 ננוגרם אסטרוגן ב-50 מיקרוליטר שמן שומשום לכל עכבר למשך שלושה ימים נוספים.הפעילו את העכברים כדי לגרום למודל השיוריזציה המלאכותית שש שעות לאחר ההזרקה השלישית המשולבת של פרוגסטרון אסטרוגן. מצאו את קרן הרחם בקצה התחתון של החצוצרות והזריקו 20 מיקרוליטר שמן שומשום באיטיות לאורך קרן הרחם. לדחוף את הרקמה לאחור, לתפור את החתך ולאפשר לעכבר להתאושש.לתקן שלושה עד חמישה מיליליטר של רקמת הרחם עם 10% פורמלין מוטבע פרפין לחתוך אותם. מכתימים את הקטעים עם hematoxylin ו eosin כדי לבחון את השינויים המורפולוגיים. הטמיעו עוד שלושה עד חמישה מילימטרים מרקמת הרחם בטמפרטורת חיתוך אופטימלית, הקפיאו בחנקן נוזלי ואחסנו במקפיא של מינוס 80 מעלות צלזיוס.קפוא לחתוך את הרקמה ב 10 מיקרומטר ולזהות פעילות phosphatase אלקליין ברקמת הרחם על ידי שיטת צימוד Azo. המורפולוגיה הכללית של הרחם המלאכותי המבוזר של עכברים המושרה על ידי שמן קרובה יותר לזו של הרחם בהריון. גוף הרחם הופך עבה וחלל הרחם הופך קטן יותר מהצד שאינו מושרה.הנפח והמשקל של קרן הרחם המושרה גבוהים משמעותית מזה של הצד הלא מושרה. צביעת המטוקסילין ואוזין של רקמת הרחם הראתה כי הבלוטות נעלמות ותאי הסטרומה הסופיים של רירית הרחם על הקרע המושרה התמינו לתאים ציטופלזמיים עגולים גדולים ורב-גרעינים נשירים עם גבולות תאים לא ברורים. קטעי הצד שאינם מושרים מראים את המורפולוגיה של רקמת רירית הרחם במצב פיזיולוגי תקין.התוצאה של שיטת הצימוד Azo הראתה כי תכולת הפוספטאז הבסיסי של הצד המושרה בשמן הייתה גבוהה משמעותית מזו של הצד הלא מושרה. תוצאות QPCR הראו כי ביטוי ה-mRNA של PRL-8-A-2, ALPL ו-IGFBP-1 בקרן המושרה היה גבוה משמעותית מזה של הקרן הלא מושרית, מה שמרמז על כך ששמן יכול לגרום לביזור מלאכותי בעכברים. תוספת הומו היא תהליך ארוך הדורש תשומת לב מיוחדת, זיהום בין הומו שהוא המפתח להצלחה.על בסיס מודל זה ניתן לבצע הזרקת קרן רחם של אדנווירוס, אשר יכול ללמוד את המנגנון הרלוונטי של מולקולות ספציפיות המסדירות את השיוריות.
