外斜めの活性化は、側板11,12,14の間の最大自発等尺性収縮(MVIC)の37%から62%の範囲であることが見られた。死んだバグの間、外部斜めの活性化は、演習15のわずか5回の繰り返しに対して、MVICの20%から30%の間で記録されています。外側腹壁のより深い腹筋である内斜めおよび横腹筋は、側板の間にMVICの22%から28%の間で活性化します12,14。内腹斜筋と横腹筋の重なりの性質により、2つの筋肉はsEMG収集中に組み合わされました14。sEMGの制限は、隣接する筋肉からのクロストークであり、sEMGセンサーが別の筋肉の出力を生成し、活性化の誤った理解をもたらす可能性があります16。超音波で得られた筋肉の厚さの測定値は、この制限を軽減するために使用でき、この測定は、前述の等尺性ホールドなどの体幹運動中に実行可能です17。
