AGS와 관련된 주요 진드기 종에는 Amblyomma americanum (미국), Amblyomma sculptum (브라질), Amblyomma testudinarium 및 Haemaphysalis longicornis (일본), Ixodes holocyclus (호주) 및 Ixodes ricinus (유럽의 라임 보렐리 아증의 주요 벡터)11,24.
