该分析的局限性包括患者的非随机分配和作为EHR护理标准记录的数据的回顾性收集。尽管非随机化引入了未测量的混杂因素影响结果的可能性，但在本分析所研究的时间段内，治疗方案没有发生长期变化。同样，使用记录为医院EHR护理标准的数据可以减少数据中出现偏差的可能性。
