안면 마스크를 사용한 효과적인 인공호흡은 신생아 소생술을 드물게 수행하는 사람들에게 종종 어려운 일입니다. 결과적으로 저산소증, 서맥 및 응급 기관 삽관은 예상치 못한 신생아 집중 치료실(NICU) 입원을 증가시킵니다. 잘못된 안면 마스크 기술과 관련된 가장 일반적인 문제에는 마스크 누출, 공기 막힘 및 불충분한 흉부 일탈이 포함됩니다 7,8,9. NRP에는 환기 교정 단계가 포함되지만 자주 수행하지 않으면 이러한 기술을 숙달하기가 어렵습니다.
