Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic repeats(CRISPR)는 Cas9 단백질 4,5의 뉴클레아제 활성을 통해 게놈의 특정 부위에서 이중 가닥 절단(DSB)을 생성할 수 있는 도구로서 진핵 세포에서 처음 설명되었습니다.
