Последовательный посев клеток на наших синтетических гидрогелях из чистого листа позволяет формировать четко определенные ниши. Здесь hBMMS колонизируют гидрогели и откладывают присущий им внеклеточный матрикс. Это обеспечивает субстрат для впоследствии засеянных эндотелиальных клеток.
Эта функция обычно не встречается в других 3D-моделях in vitro. Возможность последовательного добавления различных типов клеток позволяет создавать высокопроизводительные совместимые модели in vitro с большой сложностью. Эти модели могут быть адаптированы для создания более специфических остеогенных васкуляризированных ниш и для исследования функций клеточных и молекулярных игроков.
