<p class="jove_content">המיטוכונדריה הם אברונים cytoplasmic שיש להם תפקיד מרכזי במטבוליזם הומאוסטזיס הסלולר, הרגולציה של הרשת התא איתות, ועל מוות תאים מתוכנת. המיטוכונדריה לייצר ATP, להסדיר את המדינה חמזור cytoplasmic ו Ca2 + איזון, catabolize חומצות שומן, לסנתז heme, נוקלאוטידים, הורמונים סטרואידים, חומצות אמינו, לעזור להרכיב ברזל גופרית אשכולות בחלבונים. המיטוכונדריה יש גם תפקיד חיוני בייצור חום. מוטציות בגנום המיטוכונדריאלי הגורם מספר סוגים של ההפרעה האנושית. הצטברות של מוטציות mtDNA בקורלציה עם הזדקנות חשוד יש תפקיד חשוב בהתפתחות סרטן. בשל תפקיד חשוב ביותר שלהם בכל סוגי תאים, הפונקציה של המיטוכונדריה חייב גם להיות קריטי עבור בתאי גזע. ההתקדמות מפתח נעשו הבנתנו הכדאיות גזע תאים, התפשטות, ויכולת הבחנה. אבל את הפעילות התפקודית של בתאי גזע, מעמד מסוים האנרגיה שלהם, עדיין לא נחקרו בפירוט. כמעט דבר אינו ידוע על המאפיינים של המיטוכונדריה בתאי גזע עובריים אנושיים (hESCs) והצאצאים שלהם מבשר מובחן. אחת הדרכים להבין ולהעריך את התפקיד של המיטוכונדריה בתפקוד hESC ואת הפוטנציאל ההתפתחותי היא למדוד ישירות את הפעילות של מתחמי הנשימה במיטוכונדריה. כאן אנו מתארים ברזולוציה גבוהה ברור יליד ג&#39;ל אלקטרופורזה ובעקבות ב להדמיה ג&#39;ל הפעילות כשיטה לניתוח חמשת מתחמי שרשרת הנשימה של hESCs.</p>
