Civciv embriyo erken embriyonik gelişim çalışmaya değerli bir araçtır. Şeffaflık, erişilebilirlik ve manipülasyon kolaylığı, beyin, nöral tüp, hücre gruplarının ve kalp primordia oluşumu gen ekspresyonu çalışmak için ideal bir araçtır.
