Pritsana Chomchan is a staff scientist in the department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at City of Hope. She received her undergraduate degree with honors and her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Mahidol University, Thailand, and a Ph.D. from Tokyo University in Plant Virology.

As a post-doctoral fellow in James Strauss’s lab at California Institute of Technology, Dr. Chomchan studied genome characterization of dengue fever virus, yellow fever virus and Sindbis virus. She is currently working at John Rossi’s lab at City of hope, studying RNA interference and aptamer-mediated gene therapy. Dr. Chomchan is also involved in clinical trial studies using droplet digital PCR technology to find biomarkers for cancer diagnostics and early relapse detection.
