Kate Raley-Susman is a Professor in the Biology Department, the Neuroscience and Behavior Program, and the Environmental Studies Program at Vassar College. She received her M.S. and PhD degrees in Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and did a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. She has received grants from the NIH, NSF and the National American Heart Association and is on the distinguished Jacob P. Giraud, Jr. Endowed Chair of Natural History. Dr. Raley-Susman's current expertise rests in the neuronal and behavioral effects of pesticides and pesticide mixtures in Caenorhabditis elegans, as well as developing laboratory and pedagogical materials for teaching undergraduate biology and neuroscience.
