Birk Fritsch studied Nanoscience at University of Kassel, where he concluded his master’s course with a thesis about InP-based quantum dot structures at the Institute of Nanostructure Technologies and Analytics (INA). After a research internship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF) in Jena, he joined electron devices at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. Here, he is currently working with liquid cell electron microscopy as part of the interdisciplinary research training group GRK 1896 “In situ Microscopy with Electrons, X-rays and Scanning Probes“.
Birk Fritsch’s research interests encompass semiconductor technology, quantum optics, liquid cell electron microscopy, 2D materials, the formation of functional nanostructures, and data analysis with Python.
