Karina R. Bortoluci, Ph.D., is a specialist in the field of Innate Immunity and Associate Professor of Immunology at the Department of Biological Sciences, Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil, where she is the Head of the Molecular Immunology Laboratory since 2008. Her research is focused on the role of inflammasomes in controlling infections.
