I'm currently working as a researcher as part of the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The consortium known as ENTRAIN is focusing on neuroinflammatory responses in conditions such as stroke, Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis. My role within this is to examine endothelial cells in ischaemic conditions and their relation to perivascular macrophages (a brain resident population of myeloid cells). Prior to stepping into this project I completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences with Pharmacology and Physiology and Leeds Beckett University and a Masters degree in Translational Neuroscience at the University of Sheffield.
