Alexandra received her Bachelor’s (2016) and Master’s (2018) degrees with Distinction from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Russia. There she worked in the Laboratory of Nanobiotechnology, where her research focused on nanoparticle-based stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems. She received various prizes and scholarships, including the Potanin and Abramov Scholarships for achievements in studies and research. She took part in the Guest Student Programme of the International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter (Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany), where she studied amphiphilic polymers for drug delivery applications.
Alexandra is currently studying towards her doctoral degree in the Biomedical ultrasonics, biotherapy and biopharmaceuticals laboratory (BUBBL) in the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering, where her research is focused on ultrasound-mediated oxygen delivery to hypoxic tumours. She is a member of Exeter College and a recipient of Clarendon and Santander scholarships.
