Mashael Al-Namaeh, OD, PhD, is an Associate Professor and the clinical director of research at the Eye Research Center in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr Al-Namaeh is an adjunct faculty at Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, KY (UPIKE). Dr Al-Namaeh earned a Master's degree in Toxicology from American University in Washington, DC, in 2000. She received her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
She is also a regular member of grant review panels for a national organization. She is the Editorial Board of a national journal. She has co-authored poster presentations, several peer-reviewed articles related to her field. She has received couple of awards, the recent award was in 2021 from Regeneron from the American Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics association. Her most recent accomplishment is the publication of her first clinical research book, "Introduction to Clinical Research for Health Care Professionals."
