An enthusiastic, adaptive and fast-learning person with experience in plant genetics, plant developmental biology, cell biology, Biochemistry and molecular biology, willing to build up research career in a challenging position where I can implement my knowledge and skills to meet the institution needs.
I have received my Ph.D. degree in “Biology” in June 2020 from the Laboratory of Plant Developmental Biology, School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
During my doctoral study, I have worked on “Characterization and functional analysis of genes involved in plant reproductive development”. In my study, I have used rice and Arabidopsis as a model species to comprehend the gene mechanism involved in male reproductive development more precisely, pollen and anther wall formation. I have utilized forward and reverse genetics approach with the aid of bioinformatics tools to characterize the mutant genes.
I have also employed several molecular biology techniques and biochemical analysis to understand the gene function mechanisms. During my doctoral study, I have used CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genome editing technique in rice and Arabidopsis to knockout the targeted genes. I am highly competent in the Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system in monocot species such as rice and floral dip transformation system in dicot species, Arabidopsis.
Before joining as Ph.D. Scholar, I have completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc.) major in Botany and Master of Science (MSc.) in Plant Biotechnology at the Department of Botany, Rajshahi University, Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
I have excellent academic accomplishment and profound research experiences in the field of Plant developmental biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology which inspires me to work on quality researches in biological sciences. At this point in time, I am seeking to apply my knowledge, experiences and training in the relevant field.
