Vito Antonio Baldassarro is a Junior Researcher at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences of the University of Bologna (Italy). He completed his Master Degree in Animal Biotechnolgy and his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
During his Master thesis he started working with human stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells at the "Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne" (EPFL) in Switzerland. During his PhD and post docs he worked both at the Interdepartmental Center of the Industrial Research, of the University of Bologna, and at the Institute of Genetic and Molecular Biology of Strasbourg (France). During 10 years he started his specialization on primary cultures, in vitro models of pathological conditions and molecular biology studies of gene expression regulation, in a translational perspective.
