In this report, we describe a double-spin method for preparing activated platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Using autologous thrombin, human adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs) were cultured. Activated PRP was shown to promote proliferation of hASCs.
This method eliminates any major invasion during cell injections caused by the cell suspension solution.
Hepatocytes derived from pluripotent stem cells can be purified through cell sorting, using a combination of mitochondrial and activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule (ALCAM, also known as CD166) staining.
