Neeleema is a PhD student at the University of Exeter, working with Dr Jonathan J. Phillips on developing millisecond hydrogen/deuterium-exchange mass spectrometry methods and techniques at high structural and temporal resolution for the study of intrinsically disordered proteins, such as alpha-synuclein. In particular, her work focuses on the molecular conformational changes that occur in the monomeric form of alpha-synuclein as it experiences different physiological conditions which vary in pH and ionic strength. Prior to her PhD, she completed an MSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Queen’s University Belfast and a BA in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
