Anna Lang received her Bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University, KY and her Ph.D. from the University of Louisville, KY. Throughout her research career, she has focused on environmental toxicants and their effects on both neurological and hepatic function. Her doctoral work focused on the interaction of both environmental and metabolic factors on liver function and the development of liver disease. Currently, she is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology. Her research is focused on the role of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation dysfunction in pancreatic beta cells and how this effects pancreatic islet function and glucose homeostasis.
