Libet Garber has served the US Health and Human Service Department as a Biomedical Engineer in the Cardiac Electrophysiology Devices Branch. As a basic science electrophysiologist and engineer, Libet has served primarily reviewing algorithms, mapping systems and ablation catheter technologies. Libet is a graduate from the BME department in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (BSE and MSE) and University of Maryland (PhD).
Dr. Garber completed her doctorate researching atrial fibrillation under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Lederer; her dissertation is tittled “Intracellular Regulation of Atrial Excitation Contraction Coupling in Normal and Arrhythmogenic Hearts”. Libet is a member of the Biophysical Society and the Heart Rhythm Society where she regularly presents her work. Libet is also a guest lecturer in the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and the Johns Hopkins University Biomedical Engineering Department.
