I am a tenured Professor and Associate Director for Basic Research at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University. I trained as an MD/PhD at the Gutenberg University in Mainz and Goethe Uiversity in Frankfurt, Germany joined NIH USA to study growth factor signaling. I was recruited to Georgetown University Medical School where I run a research lab and teach in the Medical and Graduate School. My research has focused on tumor / stromal interaction with a particular emphasis on invasion and metastasis, crosstalk with the immune system and uncovering driver pathways suitable for drug targeting.
