Department of Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour
University of Leicester
I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience and then obtained my PhD, also in Neuroscience, from the University of Newcastle. I have held research positions at the Universities of Newcastle and Nottingham before taking up my first academic position as a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Leicester. During my time at Leicester I was Head of the School for Psychology (2013-2017) and deputy Head of the College of Life Sciences before moving to the University of Nottingham in 2018. I lead a basic neuroscience research group which is primarily interested in investigating mechanisms of injury following CNS injury and disease.
