Allison Davis completed her undergraduate education in 2022, receiving an honors degree with distinction from the Biological Sciences Department, University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. She worked as an undergraduate researcher during her time at UD. She received the 2022 Harward/Munson Honors Fellowship and 2021 Milton H. Stetson Summer Fellowship for excellence in continued research in physiology and cell biology.
During Allison’s undergraduate research in the lab of Jessica Tanis, Ph.D., she investigated the neuromuscular junction of C. elegans through study of paralysis rates with mutations in calcium-ATPases SCA-1 and MCA-1. She refined and utilized the levamisole swim assay, which allows paralysis to be observed visually in a short period of time.
Allison is currently an MD candidate at Cooper Medical School at Rowan University with expected graduation in 2026.
