This protocol permits the naked-eye identification of point mutated DNA in a 200-fold excess of wild type DNA molecules, by exploiting gold nanoparticles and paramagnetic microparticles.

A Single-Channel and Non-Invasive Wearable Brain-Computer Interface for Industry and Healthcare

This paper discusses how to build a brain-computer interface by relying on consumer-grade equipment and steady-state visually evoked potentials. For this, a single-channel electroencephalograph exploiting dry electrodes was integrated with augmented reality glasses for stimuli presentation and output data visualization. The final system was non-invasive, wearable, and portable.

The article proposes a novel in vitro method for the rapid and sensitive assessment of the toxicity and ecotoxicity of pollutants, based on the motility of Mytilus galloprovincialis hemocytes. The method aims to contribute to the development of more ethical and sensitive toxicological and ecotoxicological exposure tests.
