Daniella Corporan is a PhD candidate in the Biomedical Engineering program at Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Working in the Structural Heart and Innovation Laboratory at Emory University, under the mentorship of Dr. Muralidhar Padala, Daniella’s research focus is to understand how hemodynamic stress initiates cardiac remodeling towards heart failure. Her research encompasses studying left ventricular function, tissue mechanics, and biological mechanisms that contribute to the progression of heart failure. Daniella received an American Heart Association Pre-Doctoral Fellowship to study cardiac remodeling after mitral regurgitation in a rodent model.
