Here, we report the case of an HIV infected patient that was treated for pneumonia with a macrolid antibiotic. The patient experienced a prolongation of the already pathologic QTc interval resulting in repeated torsades de pointes necessitating CPR and implantation of an AICD. This case exemplifies that torsades de pointes due to acquired long QT syndrome is a serious and potentially fatal complication in HIV-positive patients.

Ici, nous rapportons le cas d&#x26;#39;un patient infect&#xE9; par le VIH qui a &#xE9;t&#xE9; trait&#xE9; pour une pneumonie avec un antibiotique macrolid. Le patient a connu une prolongation de l&#x26;#39;intervalle QTc d&#xE9;j&#xE0; pathologique r&#xE9;sultant de torsades de pointes r&#xE9;p&#xE9;t&#xE9;es n&#xE9;cessitant la RCR et l&#x26;#39;implantation d&#x26;#39;un AICD. Cette affaire d&#xE9;montre que les torsades de pointes en raison de l&#x26;#39;acquisition syndrome du QT long est une complication grave et potentiellement mortelle dans les patients VIH-positifs.

Hier berichten wir &uuml;ber den Fall eines HIV-infizierten Patienten, die f&uuml;r Lungenentz&uuml;ndung mit einem Macrolid-Antibiotika behandelt wurde. Der Patient erlebt eine Verl&auml;ngerung des bereits pathologischer QTc-Intervalls, was zu wiederholten Torsades de Pointes CPR und Implantation eines AICD. In diesem Fall verk&ouml;rpert, dass Torsades de Pointes wegen erworbenen long-QT-Syndrom ist eine schwere und potenziell t&ouml;dliche Komplikation bei HIV-positiven Patienten.

Riportiamo il caso di un paziente HIV infettata che &egrave; stato trattato per polmonite con un antibiotico macrolid. Il paziente ha sperimentato un prolungamento dell&#39;intervallo QTc gi&agrave; patologico con conseguente ripetuta torsades de pointes necessitando CPR e l&#39;impianto di un AICD. Questo caso esemplifica che pointes de tachicardia a causa della sindrome del QT lungo acquisita &egrave; una complicanza grave e potenzialmente fatale nei pazienti HIV-positivi.

Aqu&#xED;, se presenta el caso de un paciente infectado por el VIH que fue tratado por neumon&#xED;a con un antibi&#xF3;tico macr&#xF3;lido. El paciente experiment&#xF3; una prolongaci&#xF3;n del intervalo QTc ya patol&#xF3;gico que resulta en repetidas torsades de pointes que requiere resucitaci&#xF3;n cardiopulmonar y la implantaci&#xF3;n de un DAI. Este caso ejemplifica que torsades de pointes debido al s&#xED;ndrome de QT largo adquirido es una complicaci&#xF3;n grave y potencialmente fatal en pacientes VIH-positivos.
