Clinical Interest
Dr. Jabaudon cares for critically ill patients in the CHU Clermont-Ferrand Unit where he is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and training the next generation of anesthesiology and critical care physicians. He has a particular interest in acute respiratory distress syndrome and mechanical ventilation.
Research Keywords
Translational research in acute lung injury and repair.
Research Description
Our Hospital research team and University lab do basic, translational and clinical research on the role of the alveolar epithelium in the pathogenesis and resolution of acute lung injury and the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Current projects include studies of the effects of inhaled anesthetics (sevoflurane, isoflurane) in acute lung injury and repair, investigation of the role of the receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) pathway and of the alveolar epithelium in the pathogenesis and resolution of acute lung injury, and translational studies of biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis in acute lung injury
