De laterale ventrikel muren bevatten de grootste germinal regio in de volwassen hersenen van zoogdieren. Traditioneel, hebben studies over neurogenese in deze regio zich op de klassieke opdeling technieken voor histologische analyse. Hier presenteren wij een alternatieve aanpak, de wholemount techniek, die een uitgebreide, en-face het oog op deze germinal regio biedt.
