Imagerie à deux photons des indicateurs de calcium (codés génétiquement comme GCaMP5 7 ou R-GECO 8, ou des colorants synthétiques comme OGB ou Fluo4) a émergé comme une puissante méthode de mesure de l&#39;activité neuronale en comporter souris 1-6. Il permet la mesure simultanée de l&#39;activité de plusieurs centaines de cellules à l&#39;action quasi-unique résolution potentielle, jusqu&#39;à environ 800 um en dessous de la surface du cerveau 9,10. En outre, en utilisant des indicateurs de calcium génétiquement codés (GECIS) l&#39;activité neuronale peut être mesurée de façon chronique 5,11,12, et dans des types cellulaires génétiquement déterminées 13. Ensemble, ces méthodes fournissent un degré de résolution temporelle et spatiale qui ouvrent une multitude de nouvelles possibilités dans l&#39;étude de calcul neuronal in vivo. two-photon calcium imaging in mice navigating a virtual reality environment

Au cours des dernières années, l&#39;imagerie à deux photons est devenu un outil précieux dans les neurosciences, car il permet de mesurer chronique de l&#39;activité des cellules génétiquement identifiés lors de comportements 1-6.
