RBPs zijn eiwitten die binden aan een dubbele of enkelstrengs RNA in cellen en participeren in het RNA-eiwitcomplexen. RBPs kunnen verschillende RNA soorten, waaronder mRNA en lange niet-coderende RNA&#39;s (lncRNAs) binden en hun invloed op post-transcriptioneel niveau uitoefenen. Zowel RBPs en lncRNAs zijn in opkomst als nieuwe regulatoren in het vet- ontwikkeling en functioneren 1,2,3. Het mechanisme van RBP- en lncRNA gemedieerde regulering van cellulaire routes begrijpen, is het vaak nodig om de interactie tussen een specifiek RNA-molecuul en één of meer RBPs detecteren, en soms het volledige spectrum van eiwit partners van een RNA identificeren vertaling. Echter, het experiment uitdaging vanwege het hoge gehalte aan lipiden in adipocyten. Het RNA pull-down protocol beschreven kunnen worden toegepast om het eiwit partners van een specifiek RNA van de adipocyten lysaten van primaire kweken 4,5 halen.
