Humant hjertevæv huser multipotente perivaskulære precursor cellepopulationer, som kan være egnede til myocardial regenerering. Den her beskrevne teknik muliggør den samtidige isolering og oprensning af to multipotente stromale cellepopulationer forbundet med native blodkar, dvs. CD146 + CD34 - pericytter og CD34 + CD146 - adventitiaceller celler, fra den humane myocardium.
