وضعت عدة نماذج تجريبية لتسهيل دراسة القولونية الاستعمار في المختبر و في فيفو21،،من2223. ومع ذلك، هناك نقص في نماذج حيوانية مناسبة لدراسة الإشريكيّة الاستعمار في فيفو، وبالتالي قلة الناتجة من التفاصيل. لتسهيل دراسة الإشريكيّة الاستعمار إليه في فيفو، أنها ذات قيمة لبناء نماذج حيوانية لمراقبة وقياس الاستعمار القولونية في الحيوانات الحية في طريقة غير الغازية.
