Bu çalışmada, zebra balığı larva'av yakalama davranışı bir çalışma modeli kullanılır. Pretecto-hipotalamik devre davranış bulaşıcı görsel olarak tahrik av altında yatan olduğu bilinmektedir. Zebra balığı Pretetto lazer ablated ve hipotalamus (ILH; pretectal projeksiyon hedef) alt lob nöronal aktivite incelenmiştir. Av yakalama davranışı pretectal ablasyon sonra da test edildi.

Belirli nöronlar genetik olarak EGFP ya da GCaMP6s Ifade Gal4 satırlarında tahrik, etiketlenmiş.
