동물 화상 및 감염 모델은 화상 외상과 관련된 피부 손상 및 면역 억제에 따른 박테리아 감염의 발병기전을 연구하는 데 필수적입니다. 이러한 모델을 통해 화상 환자의 세균 감염을 치료하기 위한 새로운 방법을 설계하고 평가할 수 있습니다. 쥐와 인간은 이전에 기록된 것과 유사한 피부 생리적, 병리학적 특성을 공유한다8. 또한 쥐는 크기가 작아 대형 동물 모델보다 다루기 쉽고 저렴하며 조달 및 유지 관리가 더 쉽습니다.
이러한 특성으로 인해 쥐는 화상과 감염을 연구하기에 이상적인 모델 동물입니다9. 불행하게도, 화상 유도를 위한 기술은 일관성이 없고 종종 최소한으로 설명된다10,11,12,13,14. 본 프로토콜은 임상 시나리오를 시뮬레이션하고 면역 억제 및 박테리아 감염을 평가하는 데 사용할 수 있는 쥐 모델에서 일관된 전층 화상 손상을 생성하기 위한 간단하고 비용 효율적이며 재현 가능한 절차를 개발하도록 설계되었습니다.
