Forstyrrelse af blod-rygmarvsbarrieren (BSCB) kan opnås med succes ved intravenøs administration af mikrobobler og anvendelse af lavintensitetsfokuseret ultralyd (LIFU). Denne protokol beskriver åbningen af BSCB ved hjælp af LIFU i en gnavermodel, herunder udstyrsopsætning, mikrobobleinjektion, mållokalisering og BSCB-forstyrrelsesvisualisering.
