Professor and researcher in neuroscience at the Cardenal Herrera CEU University. Doctor in Cell Biology, from the University of Valencia, specialized in neurobiology.
Before joining his current position at the university, he received a degree in biology from the University of Valencia, after completing a course at the public university of Georgia (USA). Next, he worked in different reference laboratories in experimental neurobiology, where he did his doctorate and postdoctoral periods, he trained mainly in cell histology and analysis of animal behavior, his main fields of research were focused on the study of adult neurogenesis and neuroinflammation, in models of addiction and encephalopathies.
In relation to his scientific production, he has participated in various national and international projects, has published more than 40 publications in specialized journals, contributing to the growth of their respective fields of research.
Since the beginning of his research career, he has reinforced his training with collaborations as well as different specialized courses. He has been recognized through different scholarships and accreditations.
Additionally, he realizes generalized dissemination, through different dissemination channels, including blogs, book chapters, talks, radio, or social networks.
Since 2018 he has been part of the laboratory of therapeutic strategies in ocular pathologies (UCH-CEU University), a work that he begins obtained a competitive project as principal investigator. Currently, he focuses his research on the mechanisms, especially the neuroinflammation, involved in ocular neurodegeneration, as well as he keeps maintaining collaborations with national and international groups, finally, he combines his research work with his functions as manager and university professor.
