Julianna Richie is a graduate student at the University of Michigan pursing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering focusing on neural electrode implants. She is currently investigating carbon fibers as a viable electrode material. She received a Bachelors of Science in Physics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2016 studying carbon based capacitors.
Julianna is looking toward a career in medical device development with the ultimate goal of providing safe, effective, and patient specific solutions using bioelectronic medicine.
