We provide a novel strategy to isolate viral replication compartments (RC) from adenovirus (Ad)-infected human cells. This approach represents a cell-free system that can help to elucidate the molecular mechanisms regulating viral genome replication and expression as well as regulation of viral-host interactions established at the RC.
We describe a standard antibody staining protocol for use in microscopy to determine the membrane expression and localization of gangliosides in resting and activated human naïve CD4+ T cells. Also described are real-time PCR experiments using <40,000 cells that do not require additional low input RNA kits.
Sound symbolism in the tactile modality has been scarcely studied, and only in adults. This article presents a protocol to study tactile sound symbolism in young children by using play, toys, and touch-appropriate materials. The protocol has been tested with Spanish speaking children.
