Summary
Bariatric surgery is the most efficient way to reduce body weight and the deadly metabolic complications (diabetes, obesity, and dyslipidemia) frequently associated with morbid obesity. Mouse models of bariatric surgery represent a unique asset for deciphering molecular mechanisms behind the beneficial effects of these surgeries on diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
Abstract

Introduction

Protocol
בעלי חיים ודיור: השיגו 8 שבועות בן עכברי זכרים C57Bl / 6. ב 10 שבועות, לתת גישה חופשית עכברים C57Bl / 6 למים דיאטה עתירת שומן (תזונה DIO: 35% קלוריות משומן, 25.8% caseine, AIN מינרליים 1.30%, 1.30 ויטמינים%, פוספט dicalcium 1.70%, 0.7 סידן פחמתי%, אשלגן ציטראט 2.10%, bitartrate כולין 0.026%, 8.9% סוכרוז, ציסטין 0.384%, 6.5% תאית, 31.7% שומן, 3.3% שמן סויה, ו 16.29% מלטודקסטרין) עבור 8 (SG) או 14 (מעקף קיבה) שבועות לפני ניתוחים בריאטריים. כדי לקדם במשקל, לתת עכברים מוקדש ניתוח מעקף קיבה (דמה & מעקף קיבה) המכיל מים 20% פרוקטוז (w / v) בנוסף לדיאטה עתירת שומן.
