Neethu graduated from the University of Hyderabad, India, with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. For her thesis, she examined the role of SUMOylation in genome stability and gene silencing in budding yeast. Following her graduation, she decided to pursue a career outside academia and found an interest in Science Communication. As a Science Editor at JoVE, she hopes to interact with scientists from various fields and contribute to the way in which research is disseminated to a larger audience. She enjoys reading, running, trekking, gardening, and tasting desserts.
