Sanchita Bhatnagar is an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Virginia. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and post doctoral training at University of Massachusetts Medical school.
Sanchita Bhatnagar's research program is driven to understand the mechanism of epigenetic silencing and its implications for human diseases like neurodevelopmental disorders and breast cancer. The long-term goal of her research program is to gain valuable insights in the aberrant epigenetic modifications in diseased conditions and use this information to develop novel therapeutics for triple negative breast cancer and X-linked neurological diseases, such as Rett Syndrome.
